White Wishes

Tell me today isn't December 2!
Please...
I have been wishing for Christmas since...
LAST Christmas!
Making plans...
making lists...
shopping...
and then around October I pull myself back because there's LOTS of time!
Then I wake up one day and...
BAM!
It's here...and I find myself swamped...
with good intentions...
but swamped.

So sorry I haven't been around.
For what it's worth,
I have been peeking in at YOUR place from time to time though.

Let's see...I volunteered to whip up a "Nutcracker Boutique" to raise money
for the ballet company...in less than 2 weeks.
it's CRAZY...
but GOOD!
But it does mean TONS of tutus:)

I have managed to do some decorating....
with my huge white tree!
At first, I was a bit worried...a WHITE tree?
But...if I say so myself...
it's GORGEOUS!!!!!
I could look at it all day long.
It doesn't photograph well.
With the lights and my poor photography skills, it looks pink.
So I guess maybe I should rephrase that and say that I don't photograph it well:)
So I played with the photos and they have an aged look...
kind of creamy white...not pink.
Not this tree.
Kind of vintage, right?
Because I'm going for a vintage/glam look this year:)
LOTS of GLITZ!
Here are a few of my favorite ornaments:)
I think if you click on the small photos, they will enlarge so you can actually see them!

My tree topper is a gold crown I bought this summer at Marshalls...
spray painted white...
and adorned with jewels.
My very own crown jewels!

SO that's my story these days.
Oh yeah...and a really nasty cold...but I think I'm back.
Hope all is MERRY and BRIGHT with all of you...
if anybody is still listening:)

  3. It's stunning! I know trees never look as pretty in my photos either. There's either too much glow or not enough. The crown on top is definitely the crowning glory!
