A Few Rules of Life...

 Well...maybe not rules but tips.
Or suggestions.
Guess this is just where I'm at these days:)
Tip number one...
don't bother reading further if you're hoping to find some
terribly intellectual thoughts.
(Haven't spent much time around here, have you?)

Okay, so here we go...

Remember coloring?
I always loved to color.
One of the things I looked forward to was coloring with
my grandchildren.
I'm still looking forward to it...
but now they will probably be much better at it than me:)
So color a picture and give it to someone to make them smile...
like you did when you were 5.
I know it would make me smile:)

Ever heard of tying a string on your finger to remember
to do something?
How about this...
remember to tell someone that you love them:)

Take a nap.
They don't call it "beauty sleep" for nothing!

Spend time with a friend...

Buy some bright, fun rain boots...
and go splash in a puddle

Whipped cream goes with everything...
so the next time someone asks if you want whipped cream on top...
say YES !!!!!!!!!!!
And by the way, if you've never squirted whipped cream
straight from the can into your mouth,
you've totally missed out on one of life's greatest treats!

Okay...
admit it.
At some time in your life you were either yelled at for
jumping on the bed...
or maybe you did the yelling.
So today...
jump on the bed.

It's fun...and the same people who say it ruins the mattress
are the same ones who say eating cookie dough will kill you.
Please...how many people do YOU know who died from eating cookie dough???
I know...salmonella...but I survived sneaking dough...and you will too.
So this brings me to the next one...
 EAT THE COOKIE DOUGH!
Go ahead...lick the spoon or the beater:)
You know you want to!!!

And please forgive me for one more food item...

Oh yeah...I believe in that one for sure!

Well, that's it for today.
Another not so brilliant blog post from me!
Looks like I can cross at least one thing off my "to do" list for today.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!!!

Pink Saturday Pretties...

Sometimes I think the prettiest way
to store jewelry...
is in the most unexpected ways.

Recently,
during one of my antique store junkets,
I found a lovely silver two tiered tray...for a dollar.
It would be perfect for serving sweet little desserts...
or for holding some pretty pink jewels!

And it goes without saying that we love tutu's
and ballerinas...

and these are perfect little bracelet and necklace holders.

How many times do you come across pink
or just plain pretty trinket boxes?

It's so easy to pass them by
but my girls love them...

and they are perfect for rings,
earrings or other treasures...
like the "fortunes" Taylor keeps in one of hers:)

And in keeping with pink Saturday,
here is my new travel coffee cup...

Nice way to start a day, huh?

Wishing you all a beautiful heart full of love...

and hugs to all of you who understand that on many days,
it is all I can do to type a blog post.
I don't know why but I do feel weak and typing is a chore.
I try to keep up with my blog because it makes me happy
but it isn't always possible.
So if I haven't written or commented,
I have still been around.
Sometimes my energy is low and sometimes my hands just
don't want to cooperate.
But please know, I am here...
reading your fabulous blogs
and your precious notes and comments to me!

Happy Pink Saturday to all and
to Beverly from How Sweet the Sound...
THANK YOU for hosting this special day for all of us
PINKIES:)

Were You Born in a Barn or Something?

 Ha,ha,ha...
We all know that saying, right?

No, I wasn't born in a barn...
but I do wish I had been married in one!
(Sorry sweetheart)

Actually,
I was married in a gazebo by the sea...
on the north shore of Hawaii
at a place called Turtle Bay...
near where they filmed "Lost".
Yes, it was BEAUTIFUL...
but I'm still hung up on barn weddings.

Remember awhile back when I said I wanted to
live in a renovated barn?
Or, own a place with an old barn
that could be used as an antique/flea market/barn sale
like some out there today?

Well, when it isn't in use for sales,
it could be used for weddings!!!!!
Cool, huh?
Always thinking...
and daydreaming:)

Who knows...
maybe one of my girls will get married in a barn.

I have no problem with it
as long as they are married by a minister.
Just think...
a ballerina or a doctor
getting married in a barn.
Sounds so cute...
to "mama bear", that is:)
I can see their eyes rolling already.
(good thing I'm not a controlling mom...
yeah, right:)

Anyway, there is something so enchanting
about a beautiful barn wedding.
So rustic...
yet so charming.

Oh, and by the way...
make sure you include your best friends
in your wedding party:)

I even have the name picked out...
Fairytale Farm...
 where "happily ever after" begins...

Okay...
clearly I need to get going and
actually accomplish something this morning...
and stop planning for my farm:)
