Swamp People Birthday Party...

i'm serious.

we had a Swamp People party for Jordan's birthday.

to her credit,

she had no idea of the theme.

but she did love it,

southern girl that she is!

we always go all out with a theme,

decorating,

planning a whole day of fun for the birthday girl.

and now that my girls are older, we still do themes...

and sometimes, like THIS time,

the SILLIER the better.
(although SpongeBob was pretty silly:)

what can i say...

we love watching Swamp People:)

and Bayou Billionaires.

and Duck Dynasty.

could be worse.

oh yes it could...and you know it:)

to her credit, Taylorina did an AMAZING job decorating.
(what an amazing little hostess she is:)

we had pics of some of the swamp people...

Troy (our favorite), Jacob, Junior, Willie.
some of the "sayings" to come from the show...

we used plenty of camo, balloons and crepe paper.

  a green Hula skirt decorated the kitchen Island,
HEY...we have a PRETTY swamp!

some yummy GATOR EGG cookies
 (well, that's what WE called them anyway;)

and we found these cool gator hats.

ahem...a party from the DOLLAR store...

that made it even better!

but maybe the best part was the cake Taylor made. (we LOVE cake)

she baked a french vanilla cake and using food coloring,

made it in camouflage colors.

Then, using my Mom's frosting recipe (Jordie's favorite)

she frosted the cake so creatively and COOL!
even set "gator lines"!

(good thing chocolate gators are everywhere down here...

and by the way..."CHOOT EM" is another line from the show:)

it was SO yummy, despite being the colors of swamp and mud. hahahaha

what can i say...it was FUN!

we went to the beach, watched Swamp People, went to dinner...

and went to the drivers license office where Miss J got her

i know what you're thinking...no pink this year.

but even girly girls like to get "muddy" once in awhile,

whoa...

can we FINALLY, PLEASE, once and for all,

leave this young man alone?

let him play the sport he loves so very much...

and serve the God he loves even MORE?

OMG.

the cruel, mean, vindictive, raunchy way he is villianized

is ridiculous.

BEYOND ridiculous.

disgusting.
calling him a Nazi?
antichrist?
like i said...DISGUSTING!

if I ever doubted we lived in a screwed up world,

i wouldn't doubt it any longer. 

let's see...what's not to like about him?

he's moral, spirit filled, doesn't have a police record, 

hasn't been in rehab for drugs or alcohol,

no illegitimate kids running around without their dad,

has a charity that does a LOT of good,

ministers to sick children and those in less fortunate countries,

plays football...and plays it WELL...good enough for the NFL!!!!!

family oriented.

gives any and all glory to God...

like I said...what's not to like.

Tebow haters have a problem...

deep down Tim makes them look and feel bad about themselves

 because they know 

they could be SO much better.

you don't have to believe like him to like/support him.

just once, can we take the side of the good guy?

applaud his athletic skills, determination...

his values...

and leave him alone?

and stop judging every play/game...

because you don't do it fairly.

little credit for wins...tons of blame for a loss.

news flash...he won't win every game, make every pass.

he has his work cut out for him next week...

but he can do this...play in the sacred NFL that they say he can't play in.

he might lose next week.

most teams would if playing the Patriots.

but he's proven...he IS a winner anyway.

the good thing about Tebow haters is they bring a lot of attention Tim's way...

and let's him get his message out.

the guy who wears his faith on his sleeve...literally.

they call what he does on the sideline "Tebow-ing".

let me clear this up for those who think he is kidding around, 

starting a new trend.

it's called PRAYING. P-R-A-Y-I-N-G.

he doesn't cross his fingers or hold his breath for luck...

he prays. 
please stop mocking him...because that's what is happening.
oh, he can take it.
but i might blow up on my blog more often:)

living in Florida, being Gator fans,

we've known about Tim for awhile.
6 years we've followed him.
(yes...i'm bragging. heehee)

we are accustomed to seeing him pray on the sidelines.

so glad he has an even bigger audience now!

it's not an act.
he even has the other team's players and coaches
 gather on the field praying with him.

Tim Tebow...one of the good guys.

it's nice to know they DO exist in this world.

trust me...with 2 daughters of dating age, it's VERY nice to know they exist!

F is for Fun Friday...Fake Tans, Friends and Funny Stuff...

Fun Friday...

I remember when my girls were at school, they had Fun Friday.

they still had to do school work but there was just a

TINY bit more fun in their day.

so i suggest we have a FUN Friday too, starting with fake tans:)

okay, I am officially THE fake tan QUEEN!

(i knew  was the queen of something:)

don't get me wrong...I've fried my skin in the past...

and while it's still pretty much okay,

I am well aware my day will come!

so now, other than a light tan...

(vitamin D, you know:)

i FAKE it!

FAKE TANS...

my first fake tan was Sudden Tan.

remember that stuff?

i have to laugh when i think of all the times I went around

with streaks and smudges from a BAD fake tan

and smelled really bad!

but NO MORE!!!

because I have discovered an at home airbrush tan by L'Oreal...

that I LOVE!!!!!

airbrush tans can be expensive...

and can smell too...but not this stuff.

it sprays on in any direction, 

doesn't smell bad,

dries VERY quick.

it's WAY cheaper than getting it done at a salon ($10)

and the can lasts about 5 or 6 tans.

last night I gave Jordan a spray tan and today...my turn!

FRIENDS...
so, my buddy "AL" keeps dropping by for a visit.
ever have a friend that just wouldn't go away?
it's not like we have a lot in common or anything...
and he's starting to be a pest!
he did let me snap his picture the other day,
although I told him he could have SMILED or something...
but instead he looks grumpy.
what do you think?

i really wish he would just go away
but he says he was here first.
yeah, right.
guess that's why they say WE live in the SWAMP...
because we do:)

Some Neighbors I can Live Without...
