what a week. . . .and not in a good way

i can't get my head around the

 tragedies

 of this week.

first Boston. . . .

and now West Texas.

i'll be back tomorrow with a giveaway announcement,

just pray.

Hard to be Happy.........

...............when parents are still waiting for news that their child was spared.

news that most likely will not come.

these parents who sent their child off to Kindergarten.........

only to never get to hold them again,  make them breakfast, pack their lunch

tell them a bedtime story, give them a hug, tell them goodnight,

hear them say "mommy (or daddy)  i love you".

not everyone will agree with me,

but this is a broken world.

28 killed in Connecticut.

22 killed in China.

it goes on and on.

i pray for these precious children, their families, the emergency workers,

every single person impacted.......... and that should be all of us.

i pray for this world...........

a big task.

but a broken world needs it just as a broken heart needs it.

 hold those you love closely.

and pray.

Maui the Goldendoodle

Please pray for my big boy Maui.

tomorrow he has to have a lump on his neck removed and biopsied.

I love that boy (and I never call him a dog:)

and he brings such joy to everyone he meets...

 ...he looks out for me and i look out for him:)

we can learn from our best friend.....

 life would sometimes be soooo much easier...

but no way!

 wouldn't we all...

Please pray for everything to be okay with my big boy:)

That's Why I Pray.......

and why i love country music.

frankly, it is the only "popular" music my girls listen to....

the only they are allowed to listen to.

there is good and bad in anything.

but there are FAR more songs/videos like this one by Big and Rich.....

On an unbelievably TRAGIC day in Colorado,

it's something to think about.

That's Why We Pray.

We need to Pray for those affected by this tragedy.....

the victims, their families.

the healthcare workers and police.

witnesses.

neighbors.

friends.

and the shooters' family.

Anyone who thinks this is or will be an isolated incident is just plain 

CRAZY.

Because our country is in trouble.

SERIOUS trouble.

That is what the song is about......how we are discouraged from speaking of God,

praying in Public.......keeping God in our Pledge of Allegiance.

and look where we are.

"Don't speak of God".....when we need to.

And we need to speak TO him.

There are those who will question.....

but it is not for us to question.

It is for us to pray and have faith in the only one who is always there for us.

We have no need to worry about what will happen in the next week, month year.

The people killed in this tragedy thought they would watch a movie

and walk out afterwards.

We never know.

Maybe all we can do is pray.....and hold those we love a little closer.

Enjoy those little moments.

Never take anything for granted.
