I know...I seem to be losing so much time lately.
So...I thought I would do a
PINK SUNDAY post!
Before I start, let me say
THANK YOU so much...
to all of the amazing ladies who came looking for
something pretty and pink on Saturday...
and instead found me and my story.
They still stopped and left me such beautiful comments and emails...
I am so BLESSED!!!
These flowers are for YOU!!!
And to Beverly from How Sweet the Sound
who so graciously hosts Pink Saturday every week...
I apologize for my timing and plan to get back on track for next week.
Okay, I also want to introduce a new friend,
someone who has been so kind, generous and supportive...
my "Bloggerette sorority sister"...
Cindy from I Owe it All to Him.
(She also has another beautiful and creative blog, Whimsical Musings)
Anyway, she asked us if we had an
inspirational special place we go to relax, reflect...

For Pink Saturday and for Cindy 's "inspirational place" link up...
I am writing about my special places...
not totally pink but with some thrown in here and there!
For me, the place I go to is the beach, hands down.
However, while I have heard of pink sand beaches, ours look like this...
white sandy beaches, blue skies and waters.
but I do have a fabulous PINK beach float that I LOVE!!!
Does that count?
I truly float in this, put my head back,
and can't help but feel relaxed and inspired.

So I will show you my other favorite place...
and that is in my "shabby" pink flower chair.
It doesn't matter where this is in the house at any give time...
I found it along with an ottoman for $25 at a thrift store
years ago, had it recovered in my version of shabby chic
and voila...I LOVE it!
I feel so snug and happy in this chair!
(and my sweet Freddy will sit anywhere
as long as he can gaze upon me...
maybe anywhere I am is his inspirational place:)

As well as nesting in this chair,
I love watching these amazing dvds of the old
Shabby Chic TV show,
from my girls for Mother's Day.
Do they know me or what???

How sweet it is!!!
Please visit Beverly to find a list of the other Pink Saturday participants.
They will LOVE having you stop by...
even if you are a day late like me.
And PLEASE visit my new friend

Oh Suzanne,
ReplyDeleteThis is positively dreamy...and "my place" is the beach too!!! I just love that you linked this up...it is so special.
I want to tell you that I have a Maltese too...what are your dog's names? They are so cute. I don't know what breed the other one is, but she is so adorable.
Sending hugs and blessings your way,
Cindy

ReplyDeleteHappy PS Sunday Suzanne. And a great week ahead.
xo
If I had that beach close by you'd never find me anyplace else. Gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI love the chair too!
Cute post my friend!
Love ya!

We used to live within earshot of the ocean and it was so soothing to lie in bed and hear the wave hit the shore. I can see where the beach would be an inspirational place. To see that huge expanse of water is really awesome. And your thrift store chair says that you are a woman after my own heart. It looks like the perfect spot to meditate and to pray.
ReplyDeleteI had that book, Happiness is a Warm Puppy when I was growing up. I had all of them! WHY DID I GET RID OF THEM? SIgh. DUmb. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteI think all of these pinks apply just perfectly. I especially love your chair. I have one just like it and everybody knows - Mom's chair. Except mine isn't pink and pretty - but it sure is comfy!
We are getting ready for a quick vacation with all of my family up the coast to Pismo Beach. Camping on the beach - (well, we won't be - our coach would get stuck), but everyone else is 4wd so we'll pack up our stuff each day and head down to them. Going to be nice! I will think of you - and pray for you.
From my ocean to yours (clink :))
Have a wonderful day dear Suzanne!
Hugs! Karen
