New York, New York

...going to NYC is truly a trip!:-) We just got home from a birthday celebration (me...big 45) and a dance workshop for Taylor. It was truly a whirlwind weekend, for sure. Armed with my new camera, I decided to take photos not just of us but little things in the city to catch my eye. Lucky for you, I can't post them all now...but stay tuned! Jordie...making headlines!
Where to start.
..there are so many things to see. First of all, we stayed in Times Square and our suite overlooked Broadway. It really is a city that never sleeps! The number of people in this place is amazing! Phil & Jordie~Times Square 2:00 a.m...we finally arrived...and this place was wide awake!

We went for breakfast at our favorite place, "Ellen's Stardust Diner", home of the singing waiters and waitresses. They were celebrating Elvis so we made it to "Elvispalooza" for my birthday breakfast. What else...a trip to Battery Park to see the Statue
of Liberty and Ellis Island. A trek through China Town for some "shopping" deals:-) On to one of our favorite areas...Little Italy and then Soho. Little Italy

We had dinner at the famous Johns Pizza which is in an old church and then went to see the broadway show, Phantom of the Opera. If anything, it was even better than we had hoped it might be! Phantom of the Opera

Jordie, in her usual fashion, was determined that my day would be special so we even went for a ferris wheel ride in the huge toy store,
before heading to Radio City Music Hall for Taylor's dance experience as a Rockette. That was awesome! Melissa, the Rockette who worked with her class was great and taught them 3 different routines, including the famous Rockette kick-line, before putting each of the girls through a "mock audition" before her and another judge. I know Taylor was a little nervous at first but once they got started, she just glowed and absolutely loved it. The rest of our time was spent walking, eating, walking some more and maybe just a little shopping!
