Were You Born in a Barn or Something?

We all know that saying, right?

No, I wasn't born in a barn...
but I do wish I had been married in one!
(Sorry sweetheart)

I was married in a gazebo by the sea...
on the north shore of Hawaii
at a place called Turtle Bay...
near where they filmed "Lost".
Yes, it was BEAUTIFUL...
but I'm still hung up on barn weddings.

Remember awhile back when I said I wanted to
live in a renovated barn?
Or, own a place with an old barn
that could be used as an antique/flea market/barn sale
like some out there today?

Well, when it isn't in use for sales,
it could be used for weddings!!!!!
Cool, huh?
Always thinking...
and daydreaming:)

Who knows...
maybe one of my girls will get married in a barn.

I have no problem with it
as long as they are married by a minister.
Just think...
a ballerina or a doctor
getting married in a barn.
Sounds so cute...
to "mama bear", that is:)
I can see their eyes rolling already.
(good thing I'm not a controlling mom...
yeah, right:)

Anyway, there is something so enchanting
about a beautiful barn wedding.
So rustic...
yet so charming.

Oh, and by the way...
make sure you include your best friends
in your wedding party:)

I even have the name picked out...
Fairytale Farm...
 where "happily ever after" begins...

clearly I need to get going and
actually accomplish something this morning...
and stop planning for my farm:)

P.S.  Don't forget to check out my new blog button:)

  1. Yes, a wedding in a barn would be so much fun. Love the pictures. My kids all had different kinds of weddings and I loved each one. One outside in a garden, one formal in a church (the minister totally balnked out during the ceremony), and one on a mountain top in a tiny tiny chapel with 30 people. So much fun.

  2. Such beautiful photos! I love weddings and in a barn like these photos would be so magical. Enjoy your day!

  3. Wow! Such gorgeous images! Something so fabulous about combining the rustic charm with elegance--just perfect!

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

  4. I love barns too...I could totally live in one someday!

Hope one of the girls lets you do their wedding in a barn, I know it would be gorgeous!

You're in my prayers dear, hope things are going well!

    God bless,

  5. I love the rustic-classiness of a barn wedding too. Your pics are great.
Welcome home, hope Maine was wonderful and a cool getaway for you. You've been in my prayers.

  6. I love the barn wedding look, too! If that's what you would call it??? lol Beautiful!

  7. Hey there! What beautiful, beautiful pictures. I remember you saying another time how much you liked barns. I have a solution for you instead of waiting for one of your girls....You just have to re-new your vows!!!! Not only are you re-newing, you are getting your fantasy wedding! I think that is a MUST--you only go through life one time, no re-runs!
I hope your doing well, thinking of you often!

  8. I think if you two would get busy you could accomplish this before the girls are ready to jump the broom. XXHugs, Mollye

  9. I think its great that you dream, cause Dreams come true...

  12. OH MY GOODNESS! How did I miss this post?

    ME TOO!
    ME TOO!!!!
My friend Joy and I are always talking about buying a piece of property somewhere with a barn on it so we could have barn sales! We were thinking up in wine country some where. How flippin' fun would that be? And my friend's daughter just got married in his parents yard and it was an old Victorian farmhouse, and Joy and I both said at the EXACT same time "BARN WEDDING!"

    We must have ESP Girl!

OMG! This is just so funny!

    :) HUGS! karen

So, what do ya think? Do tell...I'd love to hear it:) Be Happy...
